The high mountain nature park Zillertaler Alps extends with an extension of 422km2 from 1.000 m in the mountaineering village Ginzling to 3.509 m at the Hochfeiler. Depending on factors such as altitude, exposure, geological conditions or the history of the respective site, very different habitats, animal and plant species can be found. Due to the vertical extension of the high mountain nature park, the number of habitats is very large and the flora and fauna very diverse. Glacier cover a considerable part of the nature park and have shaped the landscape since time immermorial.
In addition to the natural factors, man also has a strong influence on the present image of the natural and cultural landscape. Its ways of life and economy can be read in the landscape and make up the charm of the varied and romantic mountain landscape, especially in the Alps.
The high mountain nature park offers you various possibilities for recreation.
